Palestinian foreign ministry condemns Mawasi and Shati refugee camp 'massacres'
The Palestinian foreign ministry has issued a statement condemning the Israeli "massacres" in Gaza's Mawasi and Shati refugee camps.
Seventy-one people were killed in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, where displaced people had been sheltering after it had declared a "safe zone" by the Israeli military.
Seventeen more people were confirmed killed by an Israeli attack on a prayer hall in Shati, near Gaza City.
In a post on X, the ministry called on "the states supporting Israel to awaken their conscience and morals, and to stop obstructing international efforts to end the genocidal war" in Gaza.
