Palestinian woman arrested on suspicion of ‘incitement’ for social media post

A Palestinian citizen of Israel from the village of Abu Sinan in the Galilee has been arrested on suspicion of “incitement and publishing content supportive of Hamas on social media,” according to local media.

The woman, who is described as being in her 20s, was arrested on Monday and referred to an Israeli police station for interrogation.

Her social media post reportedly read: “This will remain the greatest day in the history of Palestine,” believed to be in reference to the 7 October attack on Israel.

Israeli police are set to request an extension of the woman’s arrest until judicial procedures are completed.
