'Radical' suspected of shooting three Palestinians, pleads not guilty

The man accused of shooting three Palestinian students in Vermont on Saturday in a suspected hate crime has been identified as a “very religious radical”.

Jason James Eaton appeared before a judge where he pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted second degree murder.

Eaton is suspected of shooting Hisham Awartani, Kinnan Abdel Hamid, and Tahseen Ahmed. They were shot on Saturday afternoon after they had all visited Awartani’s grandmother’s house.
