Report: Israel plans to displace Palestinians, cut electricity in Gaza
Israel is planning to displace the Palestinians in northern Gaza to the territory’s south and later, if needed, cutting all electricity to the Strip, in a bid to pressure Hamas into accepting the extension of the first phase of the ceasefire, the Kan public broadcaster reported.
Report says the final step is a complete return to war, with the heavy bombs previously withheld by the former US administration and the billions of dollars in arms and military equipment now being sent to Israel by the Trump government.
On Sunday, Israel blocked all aid from entering Gaza after Hamas refused to implement Israel's plan to extend the first phase of the ceasefire deal.
Hamas said it will not agree to an extension of phase one of the ceasefire and instead demands a start to phase two as originally planned under the terms of the ceasefire deal initially agreed upon by Israel and Hamas.
