Revenue from Asian Cup in Qatar to be donated to Palestinians

Revenue from ticket sales for the Asian Football Cup planned for early 2024 in Qatar will be donated to help the Palestinians, the organisers of the competition announced on Monday.

“We have decided to donate the revenues generated by tickets sold for the Asian Cup in Qatar to provide necessary aid to Palestine,” the president of the organising committee said. 

“We will ensure that this social responsibility effort benefits those most affected, and that football fulfils its role as a support mechanism for the population during these extremely difficult times,” added Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
