Saudi Arabia and Egypt condemn Israel for blocking Gaza aid

Saudi Arabia's foreign ministry has condemned Israel's decision to block aid from entering Gaza, calling it a "blatant violation of international law and a direct violation of the rules of international humanitarian law".

The ministry further accused Israel of using aid "as a tool for blackmail and collective punishment".

The Egyptian foreign ministry labelled Israel's move a "flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement and international humanitarian law".

It added that there is "no justification, circumstance, or logic that allows the use of starvation of innocent civilians and imposing a siege on them".
