South Africa: ICC arrest warrants a 'significant step towards justice'

South Africa has hailed the ICC's arrest warrant decision as a "significant step towards justice for crimes against humanity, and war crimes in Palestine".

Chrispin Phiri, spokesman for South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation, said the country calls on the international community to “uphold the rule of law and ensure accountability for human rights violations".
