US-built Gaza aid pier to take at least one week to be repaired

A temporary pier built by the US military to deliver aid to Gaza, which was damaged by heavy seas on Tuesday, will take at least a week to be repaired, according to US officials. The pier has been sent to Ashdod, Israel for repairs.
In addition, due to high sea states and the North African weather system, earlier today, a portion of the Trident Pier separated from the pier that is currently anchored into the coast of Gaza. As a result, the Trident Pier was damaged and sections of the pier need rebuilding…
