US presidential candidate Jill Stein calls for Gaza ceasefire

Jill Stein, a US presidential candidate representing the Green Party, has issued a statement calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, as well as the return of US funding to Unrwa.

"Biden's withdrawal of Unrwa funding worsens the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and the tragic deaths of US service members in Jordan intensify the international violence emanating from  Israel's war on Gaza," Stein said in a statement.

"Up to 68% of voters want an immediate ceasefire and diplomatic solution. So we have critical mass to demand a ceasefire and delivery of aid."

Stein is a long-shot candidate to win the presidency this November, however, has been vocally critical about US support for Israel's war in Gaza. Her call for a ceasefire and end to the war reflects the views of a majority of Americans.
