US punishes ICC prosecutor for pursuing Israeli war crimes case

The US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Karim Khan.
This follows President Donald Trump’s decision last week to freeze assets and impose travel bans on ICC officials after the court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes in Gaza.
