US Senator Elizabeth Warren says Gaza war will legally be considered genocide

US Senator Elizabeth Warren, a previous presidential candidate, said that she believes Israel's war in Gaza will legally be considered a genocide.

“If you want to do it as an application of law, I believe that they’ll find that it is genocide, and they have ample evidence to do so,” Warren said during an event at the Islamic Center of Boston in Wayland, Massachusetts.

She was referring to the case before the International Court of Justice, where South Africa has accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza.

A spokesperson for Warren told Politico that the senator "commented on the ongoing legal process at the International Court of Justice, not sharing her views on whether genocide is occurring in Gaza".

At a Q&A at a Wayland mosque last week, @SenWarren is asked if she thinks that Israel is committing a genocide.
