Wounded and sick patients leave Gaza for treatment abroad: Al Jazeera

More patients are leaving the Gaza Strip on Saturday to seek medical attention abroad as the first stage of the Hamas-Israel ceasefire nears its final hours.

Al Jazeera Arabic is reporting that 33 patients in need of medical attention have left Gaza through the Rafah crossing into Egypt.

The patients were accompanied by 55 relatives. Most of the patients have chronic diseases, including cancer, and have been unable to receive treatment since the start of Israel's war.

Approximately 400 Palestinians will be allowed to leave Gaza for medical treatment as part of the ceasefire signed between Hamas and Israel.
