'30 seconds' of firing during kosher supermarket storming

The scene of the kosher supermarket siege is now quiet, reports a Washington Post correspondent.

According to Griff Witte, who was on the ground, the firing in the suburb of Porte de Vincennes lasted just 30 seconds.

Two columns of police reportedly entered the building - some 12 hostages were then led out to safety.
A young boy was among the people led out of the supermarket after the hostage-taker was "neutralised," according to a source who spoke to AFP.
