Egypt and Italy call for immediate ceasefire

After a joint press conference in Cairo, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi called for an immediate ceasefire to allow aid to enter the Strip.

They said such a truce would allow the start of negotiations around a solution to the crisis.
