Egypt's media regulator to block Mada Masr over coverage of Israel's bombing of Gaza

Mada Masr will be referred to Egypt's public prosecution, and its website blocked for six months, according to the online news website.
The Supreme Media Regulatory Council (SMRC) announced on Sunday the reason was for "practising media activities without a licence" and "publishing false news without checking its sources".
The SMRC previously announced that they have received complaints about Mada Masr inciting "harm to national security" through its coverage of Israel's bombing of Gaza.
