Israel bombs residential tower, Hamas vows Tel Aviv retaliation
Israeli fighter jets bombed a high-rise residential building in Gaza city, displacing its residents, Palestinian media have reported.
The building, known as Palestine Tower, is in central Gaza and includes 100 apartments, Palestinian officials have said.
The Israeli strike was captured live on Al Jazeera.
Similar Israeli air strikes on residential towers in the past have provoked a heavy response from Palestinians, who demand Israel avoid targeting civilian buildings.
Abu Ubaida, the military spokesman of the Al-Qassam Brigades, said Tel Aviv should brace itself for an "earth-shattering" response to the targeting of the building.
Israeli air forces claimed to have attacked two military structures inside Gaza, without providing the exact location.
