Israel says it has secured control of Sderot police station

Israel’s southern district police forces and the country's military on Sunday said that they had secured control of the Sderot police station.

“A short time ago, full control was achieved,” a police spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said it "neutralised" 10 Palestinians after carrying out live fire “by all means” on the station.

Sderot was one of several southern Israeli towns that Palestinian fighters were able to penetrate with relative ease as Gaza launched a military campaign against Israel in the early hours of Saturday.
