Monitor: at least 50 air strikes launched in Syria

At least 50 air strikes have been launched against militants in Syria, according to the British-based monitoring group the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

They included strikes against militants from the al-Qaida linked Al-Nusra Front, a rival group to IS, the Observatory reported.

Airstrikes fell over Syrian town of Abu Kamal and training camps in the province of Deir al-Zor.
