Oil flows resume at key Turkish port

Turkey has resumed oil flows to a key export terminal in the south of the country, after suspending activities on Monday following the earthquake.

As a precaution, the state pipeline operator Botas stopped flows into and exports out of the Ceyhan port on the Mediterranean coast.

Activities have since resumed, an official told Bloomberg on Tuesday.

The port is a key hub for oil sales. It exports 1 million barrels a day, which is roughly one percent of total global supplies according to Bloomberg.

There was a spike in crude oil prices on Monday, partly due to Ceyhan’s halt in exports.
