A young Palestinian protester has had his hand amputated after being shot by Israeli forces during a protest in Bethlehem in solidarity with Gaza on Friday, according to Ma’an News.
Hundreds of people took part in the protest, where Israeli forces used skunk water to disperse demonstrators.
The young man is now being treated at the Beit Jala hospital where Ma’an report him as being “in a critical condition”.
The news agency reported “dozens of others” as having suffered from tear gas inhalation at the protest in Bethlehem.
