- 70 people were killed as Israeli forces bombarded the town of Rafah on Gaza's border with Egypt. The attacks injured over 100 people.
- As of two hours ago, the death toll among Gazans had reached 1,650, with more than 8,900 injured according to Gaza's Health Ministry.
- Hamas says it is not aware of the whereabouts of a missing soldier, saying it believes he may have been killed in fighting an hour before the ceasefire began.
- Hamas publicly blames Israel for breaking the 72-hour truce, alleging that Israeli troops mobilised and entered the city of Rafah at 06:30 local time. Their statement stresses that Hamas is willling to abide by a truce as long as Israel holds its end of the bargain.
