The European Union's foreign policy chief has said that while Israel has the right to defend itself, some of the decisions it has made are against international law.
Josep Borrell said that Israel must conduct itself "accordingly with international law, humanitarian law" after a meeting of EU Foreign Affairs ministers in Muscat, Oman.
UN special rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories Francesca Albanese said on Tuesday that Israel's decision to conduct a full siege on Gaza is a "crime against humanity".
“It is completely outside what is permitted under international law,” Albanese said on Al Jazeera English.
