US Senator Chris Murphy speaks out against normalising assassinations

While calling Soleimani "the worst" of Iran's "malevolent evildoers", Democratic Senator Chris Murphy, a vocal critic of Trump's foreign policy, said the killing leaders of foreign countries would "normalise assassinations".

Iran is full of malevolent evildoers, and Soleimani was the worst of them. But Iran is also a nation state. And the reason the U.S. doesn't kill leaders of other countries is because once you normalize assassinations, it's hard to put the genie back in the bottle.
