US urges Americans in Lebanon to 'leave now'

The US State Department's Bureau for Consular Affairs has posted an advisory to its citizens who are currently in Lebanon, saying that they "should leave now" amid the ongoing war between Israel and armed Palestinian groups based in Gaza.
"US citizens who wish to depart Lebanon should leave now, due to the unpredictable security situation. There are still commercial flights available, but there is reduced capacity," the bureau said on X.
Israel said it struck a number of Hezbollah cells in southern Lebanon early on Monday.
