US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron are expected to announce a ceasefire in Lebanon within the next 36 hours, Reuters reported on Monday, citing four senior Lebanese sources.
Israel's cabinet is expected to meet on Tuesday to approve the deal.
White House national security spokesperson John Kirby said earlier on Monday, "We're close [but] nothing is done until everything is done".
At least three Palestinians were killed on Monday by an Israeli strike in the Zarqa area of Gaza City, according to Al Jazeera.
Several people were also wounded by the strikes.
Israel launched fresh strikes on the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood in Gaza City on Monday.
Many of the injured appeared to be children and young babies, according to Reuters, which reported that the injured were being taken to the Al-Ahli Arab hospital.
A Palestinian child and young man were killed during an Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank town of Ya'bad, located south of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli soldiers killed 13-year-old Muhammad Hamarsheh and 20-year-old Ahmad Zaid, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Monday.
Israeli troops raided the town on Sunday, firing live ammunition, stun grenades and tear gas, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
The two Palestinians were transported to hospital and later pronounced dead.
At least 31 people were killed and 64 injured by Israeli strikes across Lebanon on Monday, the Lebanese health ministry said on Monday.
Israel has pounded Lebanon with strikes even as it inches closer to a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah.
Half a million people in Gaza are displaced at flood-prone sites that could be at risk as winter approaches, according to the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (Unrwa).
The UN estimates that around half a million people in Gaza are in flood-prone sites. Harsh winter weather is compounded by heavy rain and rising sea levels, which cause sewage pile-ups and disease," Unrwa said on Monday.
Unrwa has warned that the onset of winter risks compounding the devastating humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is growing more isolated, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday.
“The circle is tightening around [Netanyahu] and [his] massacre network," Erdogan said, referring to the ICC's decision to issue an arrest warrant for the Israeli leader.
Erdogan also said Turkey is doing more for Palestinians than "what is visible, what is being talked about".
“At the end of these difficult days...[Palestinians will have] salvation, peace, and tranquillity, while the oppressors will lose."
Syrian state television reported Israeli strikes on several bridges in the Qusayr region, near the Lebanese border on Monday.
The Israeli military has intensified its strikes on targets in Syria, as it tries to choke Hezbollah's supply lines.
"An Israeli aggression targeted the bridges of al-Jubaniyeh, al-Daf, Arjoun, and al-Nizariyeh Gate in the Qusayr area," state television said, with official news agency Sana reporting damage following the attacks.
Israel's Channel 12 on Monday released new details about what media reports say is a pending ceasefire deal in Lebanon.
According to the report, Lebanese will be able to return to their homes in southern Lebanon, and there will be no buffer zone held by the Israeli military.
The Israeli army will remain in Lebanon for 60 days while the Lebanese Armed Forces deploys in the south.
The agreement also says Lebanon's government will oversee all arms purchases and production in Lebanon.
The US will head an international body overseeing the deal's implementation.
France's President Emmanuel Macron's office said on Monday that ceasefire talks in Lebanon have "advanced significantly", calling on Israel and Hezbollah to seize "this opportunity as soon as possible".
"Discussions on a ceasefire on the blue line (in southern Lebanon, editor's note) have advanced significantly", the French presidency said. "We hope that the stakeholders will seize this opportunity as soon as possible".
At least 12 people were killed by Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon's health ministry.
The Israeli military on Monday afternoon said it had struck approximately 25 targets belonging to Hezbollah across the country, including in Nabatiyeh, Baalbek, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Beirut.
Israel is set to approve a ceasefire in Lebanon that includes a US pledge to support Israel's ability to target Hezbollah in Lebanon if the group tries to rearm, according to a report on Monday by The Times of Israel.
The US has provided Israel with a letter defending its ability to strike Hezbollah if it rearms.
The ceasefire would see the Lebanese Armed Forces deploy into southern Lebanon in place of Hezbollah over a 60 day window.
White House spokesman John Kirby said on Monday, "We're close" to reaching a ceasefire in Lebanon.
The comments are the first by the White House since reports emerged that Israel and Hezbollah could be hours away from a deal.
Israel's cabinet is expected to vote on the proposal on Tuesday.
