The National Guard said it shot down five drones in its areas of responsibility, while a separate drone strike earlier caused a fire at a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport.

Oil prices dropped more than 5 percent after US President Donald Trump sent a delegation to Iran, raising hopes of an end to nearly a month of war, AFP news agency reported.
Brent crude fell close to 6 percent to $98.30, while US benchmark West Texas Intermediate dropped about 5 percent to $87.72.
The decline came as Iran signalled it would allow “non-hostile” oil vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, easing supply concerns.
Asian stock markets rose in response, even as fighting continued and uncertainty remained over whether a deal could be reached.
Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared a state of national energy emergency, warning of an “imminent danger” to the country’s energy supply.
The measure, set to last one year, aims to address disruptions caused by the conflict in the Middle East and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Officials said the crisis has disrupted supply chains and driven up oil prices, “posing a threat to the country’s energy security.”
The government is expected to implement measures to stabilise fuel availability and protect the economy.
Jordanian authorities said shrapnel fell in a sparsely populated area south of the capital, Amman, prompting a response from security services. Officials said there were no injuries or significant damage from the incident.
The Public Security Directorate said the country has recorded hundreds of missile fragment falls since the war began on 28 February. Authorities have urged caution as debris continues to land across different areas.
Saudi Arabia said it intercepted a ballistic missile and three drones over the Eastern Province as part of efforts to protect its airspace and critical infrastructure.
The Defense Ministry said the threats were detected and destroyed before reaching their targets.
The incident comes amid continued missile and drone attacks across the region. Authorities said air defence systems remain on high alert to safeguard vital facilities and population centres.

Air raid sirens sounded in Kiryat Shmona and surrounding areas after a projectile was launched from Lebanon, according to Israeli media.
A house under construction was damaged, but there were no reported casualties, Ynet News said.
The incident followed earlier attacks that killed one person in northern Israel and wounded at least 12 others in central cities near Tel Aviv.
President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that Iran gave the US a "present” related to “oil and gas”, while repeating that talks were underway with the Islamic Republic to end the war, even as thousands of US troops are en route to the region.
Trump delivered his remarks at the White House, claiming that the US would emerge as the ultimate victor from the end of the US-Israeli war on Iran.
“I think we are going to end it. I can’t tell you for sure,” he said. “We have won this war.”
Trump added that the US and Israel had killed so many Iranian officials that "I think we can say this is regime change".
Trump said that his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, special envoy Steve Witkoff, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President JD Vance are all involved in negotiations to end the conflict.

Drones targeted a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport, causing a fire but no casualties, Kuwait's Civil Aviation Authority said on Wednesday.
Emergency procedures were activated immediately, with firefighting teams responding to the blaze, it said, adding that initial reports indicated only material damage.
Three people have been killed and 18 have been wounded in an Israeli air strike targeting the town of Habboush, in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon, the country’s state-run National News Agency (NNA) is reporting.
The has killed more than 1,070 people in Lebanon in just over three weeks of intensified strikes, Lebanon’s health ministry said earlier.
The Israeli military has ordered the forced evacuation of residents from seven neighbourhoods in the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, Al Jazeera is reporting.
Spokesman Avichay Adraee stated that the Israeli military would continue to attack Hezbollah infrastructure throughout different parts of the southern suburb.
French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday he spoke to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and asked him to put an end to attacks against countries in the region and called on the country to engage in good faith negotiations.
"I spoke again of the absolute necessity of putting a stop to these unacceptable attacks on countries in the region, of preserving energy and civilian infrastructure and of restoring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz," Macron said in a post on X.
"I called on Iran to engage in good faith in negotiations in order to pave the way for de-escalation and provide a framework which will meet the expectations of the international community in terms of Iran's nuclear and ballistic programme and its activities of regional destabilisation," Macron added.
Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation said that the US and Israel attacked the vicinity of Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant on Tuesday evening local time, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
It said the attack caused no technical damage or human casualties based on initial reports.
US President Donald Trump on Tuesday told reporters that the US was talking to "the right people" in Iran in order to reach an agreement to end hostilities, adding that the Iranians want to “reach a deal very badly”.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said "we're in negotiations right now" over Iran but would not provide details, particularly on whether US envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner planned talks this week.
