Sami Abou Shahadeh, a Palestinian MP in the Israeli parliament representing the Joint List, has condemned the scenes:

The Israeli government began its Jerusalem occupation celebration by attacking worshippers in Al Aqsa. A state that celebrates colonization & apartheid shows it’s true colors, this time attacking Palestinians from #Haifa & #Nazareth to #Jerusalem and elsewhere. pic.twitter.com/xE4BLHfBVA

Israelis are set to march through Jerusalem today celebrating their victory in the 1967 Middle East war:
