Israeli forces kill elderly Palestinian in West Bank

Israeli forces fatally shot an elderly man in Tubas city on Tuesday, the second Palestinian to be killed in the occupied West Bank in less than an hour.

The Palestinian health ministry said Rouhi Rasheed Sawafata, 70, was shot in the face and killed.

Israeli forces raided Tubas, located in northeastern West Bank, and opened fire at Palestinians who clashed with the troops to push back against the raid.

At least nine Palestinians were wounded, medics said.

Israeli forces have killed at least 124 Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in 25 days since 7 October.
