Israeli army removes symbolic horse statue from Jenin

Israeli forces have removed a work of art in Jenin that commemorated an attack on an ambulance during the First Intifada in 2002.

The sculpture of a horse was made of the mangled wreckage of the vehicle destroyed while transporting the wounded.

Standing at the entrance of the Jenin refugee camp, the art work was made by local Palestinians in collaboration with the German artist Thomas Kilpper.
