Hamas condemns Blinken remarks 'justifying genocide'

Hamas condemned US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday for his "attempt to justify the genocide" committed by Israel against Palestinian civilians.

In a statement, the group criticised Blinken for claiming that Palestinian fighters hide behind civilians during a press conference from Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

"These are miserable attempts to wash the hands of the criminal occupation of the blood of the children, women and elders of Gaza, whose number exceeded 30,000 martyrs, which reflects the extent of American involvement in these crimes and the widespread violations of all international laws committed by the fascist Zionist army in the Gaza Strip," the group said.

"We reject the fallacies and misleading narrative that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken still insists on repeating, 96 days after the barbaric Zionist aggression against Palestinian civilians, which continues with the full support of President Biden’s administration."
