Israeli forces confirm targeting sites in northeast Lebanon

The Israeli military have confirmed targeting sites in northeast Lebanon on Tuesday.

They said that the air strikes were in response to a rocket attack on one of its bases near the Lebanese border, and targeted  “a military compound used by Hezbollah’s aerial unit”. 

The attack is the furthest bombardment yet from Israel's southern border with Lebanon where Hezbollah has been exchanging fire with Israel since October.
