Israeli military confirms Mawasi attack targeted Hamas military chief

The Israeli forces have confirmed that Saturday's attack on displaced people in Mawasi targeted Hamas military chief, Mohammed Deif.

Shortly after, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement that he gave a "permanent directive to eliminate senior Hamas officials” at the beginning of the war.

The statement added that Netanyahu will hold security talks throughout the day to discuss the next developments.
