International Federation of Medical Student Associations suspends Israel

The International Federation of Medical Student Associations (IFMSA) has voted by a two-thirds majority to suspend its Israeli student association for two years, according to report by Ynet news, an Israeli media outlet.

The decision was made in response to the ongoing war in Gaza, allegations of genocide, and accusations of "a lack of morals and humanitarian values".

IFMSA has not officially released a statement announcing the suspension.

IFMSA is a non-governmental organisation representing medical student groups from 123 countries across six continents. Founded in 1951, the organisation is headquartered in Denmark.
