First phase of polio vaccination campaign concludes, but disease risk remains high: UN

The UN has announced the completion of the first phase of the polio vaccination campaign in Gaza. However, it warned that the risk of other diseases remains high due to unsanitary conditions.

“Piles of trash continue to accumulate, and sewage is flooding the streets," the UN said in a social media post. "There is an urgent need for greater access to aid, clean water, and hygiene supplies."
