US envoy to travel to Beirut for ceasefire talks: Reuters

Amos Hochstein, the US envoy to Lebanon, is expected to travel to the Lebanese capital Beirut on Tuesday, according to Reuters citing Lebanese sources.
The visit has also been reported by the Lebanese media outlet Voice of Lebanon, quoting Lebanese MP Kassem Hachem.
The US has submitted a new truce proposal to the Lebanese government, hoping to bring the Hezbollah-Israel fighting to a halt.
It has been reported that the Lebanese armed group has authorised Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to deliver its response on the proposal.
