Most Gaza homes destroyed and uninhabitable, says Unrwa

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (Unrwa) has revealed that while many displaced Palestinians have returned to their homes following the ceasefire, most of their houses are in ruins and unfit for living.

“The needs are immense after 15 months of relentless bombardment and severe restrictions on humanitarian aid,” the agency stated on X.

Meanwhile, Israel’s parliament has passed a controversial law banning Unrwa’s operations from 28 January.

Unrwa chief Philippe Lazzarini condemned the move, warning it would “deprive the poorest communities of their right to health.”
