The UN says claim that hostage was held in Unrwa facility a 'grave allegation'

The UN has vowed to investigate a claim by a female hostage's mother that her daughter was held as a hostage in Gaza inside a facility belonging to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (Unrwa).

The UN told Israel's Ynet that those were “very grave allegations” that must be investigated.

The claim was made by Emily Damari, a British-Israeli dual national, whose daughter, Mandy Damari, was released as part of the Gaza ceasefire.
