Israel announces launch of 'targeted' ground offensive in Gaza

Israel has announced what it called a "targeted" ground offensive in Gaza as Defence Minister Israel Katz said it was the "last warning" for Hamas to release the captives.

In a video statement, Katz said the Palestinians should follow the advice of US President Donald Trump and remove Hamas from power.

"Take the advice of the president of the United States. Return the hostages and remove Hamas, and other options will open up for you - including the possibility of leaving for other places in the world for those who want to," he said.
