Israeli strike kills two in Gaza’s so-called ‘safe’ zone

Israeli forces have bombed a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in al-Mawasi, southern Gaza, killing two people and wounding others, according to Al Jazeera Arabic.

Al-Mawasi, labelled a "humanitarian safe zone" by Israel, has been anything but safe. Despite designating it as a refuge, Israeli forces have repeatedly targeted the area throughout the war.

Earlier today, Palestinians in Rafah were ordered to flee to al-Mawasi. Hours later, the bombs followed them.
