A 30-year-old Palestinian man is killed and dozens injured in Israeli raid in Nablus
A Palestinian man was shot and killed, and dozens were injured during an Israeli military raid in the Old City of Nablus in the West Bank, Wafa news agency reported on Thursday.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that Rami Sami al-Kakhn, 30, died of gunshot wounds during the raid. His body is being held by Israeli forces and has not been released to his family.
In the two-pronged raid, undercover Israeli units are said to have infiltrated the city around midday, while soldiers raided through the Huwwara and al-Tur.
Ten Palestinians were injured during the raid. Kakhn and another young man, who were both injured during the raid, were detained before Kakhn died.
Rafidia Government Hospital treated nine injured people, including two in critical condition.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that at least 35 civilians had been exposed to tear gas during the raid. All were treated on site.
