Khalid Albaih is a Romania-born, Doha-raised, Oslo-based Sudanese political cartoonist and writer. His work, known as “Khartoon,” has appeared in The Guardian, Al Jazeera, and international exhibitions and biennials. He is the author of Khartoon! and co-editor of Sudan Retold and Sudan Retold 1½, as well as the graphic novel Zugag: Diary of a Professional Foreigner. He was shortlisted for the Freedom of Expression Award (2025).
