Marina Calculli is an Assistant Professor in International Relations at Leiden University. She specialises in political violence in the Middle East, with a focus on the ideology and strategy of armed resistance movements, especially Hezbollah. Her current project explores how states and nonstate actors negotiate their visions of the world society in times of global reordering.
