Shockat Adam is an optometrist who is the MP for Leicester South, having been elected in July 2024. In parliament, he sits as an independent and is a member of the Independent Alliance. He has championed the Palestinian cause before and since entering parliament, including introducing the Palestine Statehood (Recognition) (No. 2) Bill.
