Iran president names IRGC general Majid Ebnelreza as acting defence minister

A general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Majid Ebnelreza, was appointed Iran 's acting defence minister on Monday by the president, following the death of his predecessor in US and Israeli strikes.
"On the decision of President Massoud Pezeshkian, Revolutionary Guards General Majid Ebnelreza has been appointed acting minister of defence," a presidential spokesman announced in a message on X.
