Here are some of the latest updates from the Israeli war on Gaza, now in its 642nd day: 

  • Palestinian resistance fighters killed one Israeli soldier during clashes in Gaza on Wednesday.

  • Prime Minister Netanyahu claimed Israel has identified the likely underground location of Iran's enriched uranium stockpiles during a Fox News interview.

  • US President Donal Trump suggested there's a "very good chance" for a Gaza ceasefire agreement within the next two weeks, though cautioned it wasn't certain.

  • Hamas officials stated ongoing negotiations face multiple obstacles, including: Ensuring adequate humanitarian aid reaches Gaza; Complete withdrawal of Israeli forces and; Binding assurances for a lasting truce.

  • Gaza health authorities reported 105 Palestinians were killed and and 530 wounded in the latest 24-hour period by Israeli strikes. The overall death toll since 7 October 2023 now stands at 57,680.
