Iran’s border units prevented 44 drones and quadcopters from entering the country’s airspace in the past 48 hours, according to Ahmad Ali Goudarzi, the border guard commander, cited by the official IRNA news agency.
Mosques, schools and metro stations will be available as shelter to the public starting Sunday night, Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani told state-news IRNA.
Mohajerani noted that schools have been prepared to act a safe place, while service and relief centres will provide essentials and provide for the needs of civilians.

"He is ready. He called me about it. We had a long talk about it," the US president said.
Israeli media has reported that Iranian strikes targeted a power station in Hadera and the Netanyahu family's residence in the coastal town of Caesarea.

"The attack on Tehran and its nuclear systems, weapons production systems, air defense, and missiles is a powerful attack," Katz said during a briefing with Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir.
He went on to threaten that Israel is "essentially turning Tehran into Beirut now".
Shortly after Katz’s remarks, a new wave of explosions rocked the Iranian capital, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported.
The Israeli army said its air force has intercepted around 20 drones in the last hour, as Iranian retaliation attacks continue.
Successive loud explosions were reportedly heard in northwestern Tehran.
Reports indicate a new Israeli attack near a 15-storey building that was hit on the first night of Israeli bombardment on Friday.
Meanwhile, Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said that metro stations and mosques will be available as bomb shelters for the public starting tomorrow.
British Chancellor Rachel Reeves said on Sunday that the UK’s decision to deploy military jets to the Middle East was intended solely to protect British bases and personnel, describing it as a “precautionary move”.
“We’re sending in assets to both protect ourselves and also potentially to support our allies,” she told Sky News.
Reeves also called for a de-escalation of the conflict.
When asked whether Britain would support Israel, she said: “We have, in the past, supported Israel when there have been missiles coming in.”
On Saturday, Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that additional RAF aircraft were being deployed amid escalating hostilities between Israel and Iran.
The Israeli army’s Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, said Israeli forces had attacked a nuclear facility in Isfahan.
According to a statement, Israel destroyed infrastructure related to uranium production and processing. The Israeli military accused the Iranian government of seeking to acquire nuclear weapons.
Iran did not immediately respond to the claims.
Earlier, Iran’s oil ministry said facilities at a refinery in Isfahan were fully active and operational, according to the semi-official ISNA agency.
Iran said on Sunday it had arrested two people accused of being members of Israel’s Mossad foreign intelligence agency.
According to the semi-official Tasnim News Agency, the two individuals were detained in Alborz province as they were preparing explosives.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal quoted sources familiar with the Israeli military operation in Iran as saying that Mossad had smuggled drones and ammunition into Iran over several months in preparation for the attacks.
Mossad teams struck dozens of Iranian trucks transporting missiles to launch sites and also targeted air defence systems, according to the report.
It added that the Mossad operatives continued to operate inside Iran even after Israel launched its initial strike on Tehran on Friday.
Iranian strikes killed at least 10 people and wounded dozens in Israel overnight, as cross-border attacks continued into Sunday.
One missile hit an apartment building in the city of Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv, killing six people, including two children. At least 35 people were still missing following the strike, according to Israeli media.
Another four people were killed when a missile hit a building in Tamra, a Palestinian town in northern Israel.
Israeli authorities said more than 140 were wounded by missiles that had hit homes in northern and central Israel, including the city Rehovot.
At least 13 people have so far been killed in Israel and over 300 others wounded since Iran retaliated to Israel’s offensive on Iran on Friday, according to Israel's rescue service.
