Iran's army chief, Amir Hatami, said Iranian forces are “fully” preparing to carry out “decisive and effective strikes” against Israel, according to a statement quoted by the semi-official Mehr News Agency.
He said that forces have acted “with complete sincerity” from the first moments of Israel’s attack on the country.
Iranian authorities said that Israel had attacked a facility linked to the Ministry of Defence in the city of Isfahan.
“One of the centres affiliated with the Ministry of Defence in Isfahan was attacked moments ago, but there have been no casualties so far,” the deputy provincial governor, Akbar Salehi, was quoted as saying by the ISNA News Agency.
“Expert teams are currently examining the possible damage,” he added.

Araghchi also said that Iran was “prepared to provide the necessary assurances to the Americans” during the sixth round of negotiations with the US that was scheduled for today in Oman.
“The previous round of talks, the Americans presented a number of proposals, which were not totally acceptable to us. We presented our response and our viewpoints, and we were supposed to present a counterproposal. Our proposal could have opened doors for an all-out agreement with the Americans,” he said.
Araghchi said Israel opposes reaching a deal between Iran and the US.
“This is a crystal-clear matter. The Zionist entity is not willing to see us reaching an agreement or a diplomatic solution with the United States,” he added.
The Israeli army has issued an evacuation warning for Iranians staying close to what it describes as weapons manufacturing facilities and “support institutions”.
“Urgent warning to all Iranian citizens: All persons who are currently or in the near future present in or around military weapons production factories and their support institutions should immediately leave these areas and not return until further notice,” the Israeli military posted in Farsi on a social media post.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his country does not want to expand the war unless it was forced to do so.
Speaking at a press conference in Tehran, Araghchi says his country’s response to the Israeli attacks will stop only if “the aggressions stops”.
The Iranian diplomat made his statements during his first public appearance since the Israeli strikes began on Friday.
Moreover, he said the US should condemn the Israel’s strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Araghchi also added that Israel’s attack on energy structure in Assaluyeh brings the conflict to the Gulf region.
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said on Sunday that his country, along with the UK and France are ready to start negotiations with Iran about its nuclear program.

He added: “I hope that’s still possible”.
Wadephul, who is currently on a visit to the Middle East, said the moves aims at de-escalating the current conflict between Israel and Iran.
“This is also a key prerequisite for reaching a pacification of this conflict — that Iran presents no danger to the region, for the State of Israel or to Europe,” he said.
