Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has vowed a "powerful and legitimate" response to Israel's attacks on the country.
In a speech to the public following the strikes, Pezeshkian said that Iran's retaliation will "make Israel regret its foolish act".
He further urged Iranians to trust their leadership and stand with them.
The International Atomic Energy Agency's board of governors will hold an exceptional meeting to discuss Israel's strikes on Iran after at least one country on the board requested one at Friday's regular, quarterly session of the body, diplomats said.
Any country on the board can call a meeting under its rules. Iran, which is not on the board, requested a meeting and its call was supported by board members Russia, China and Venezuela, diplomats said without clarifying which board member was the first to make the request.
The leaders of France, Germany and the UK are also expected to hold a call to talk about the strikes, sources told AFP.
Israel's defence ministry issued a statement saying that Israeli attacks on Iran on Friday has "neutralised" most of he senior leadership of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' air force.
"The defence minister was informed that most of the Revolutionary Guard air force leadership was neutralised while convening at their underground headquarters," the statement read.
The are charged with monitoring Iran's airspace and controlling the country’s ballistic missile arsenal.
A senior Israeli official has said that Israel's intelligence agency Mossad had smuggled missiles into Iran and installed swarms of explosive drones ahead of Israel's attack on the country on Friday, according to a report in the Washington Post.
He said that the drones were activated as Israel launched its attack, and struck missile launchers at a base near Tehran.
A fire has erupted at Iran's Tabriz airport shortly after it was targeted by an Israeli strike, Iranian media is reporting.
A video published by Mehr news agency showed plumes of smoke emanating from the airport with the caption: "Tabriz airport now."
Israel has launched a fresh attack on Iran's Natanz uranium enrichment facility, Iranian state media is reporting.
"Minutes ago, the Zionist regime targeted Natanz again," state media said.
An Israeli military official has confirmed that all Israeli pilots involved in Friday's strike on Iran have returned safely home, Reuters is reporting.
"We have already achieved a lot," he told foreign reporters, speaking under condition of anonymity.
He added that Israeli fighter jets had launched simultaneous strikes on multiple targets, including Iranian ballistic missiles that were pointed towards Israel.
Israel was prepared for the confrontation to continue over several days, depending in part on how Iran responded, he said, adding that Iran had already launched more than 100 drones towards Israel, many of which had already been intercepted.

US President Donald Trump has urged Iran to strike a deal over its nuclear programme, warning that further attacks could be "even more brutal".
“I told them it would be much worse than anything they know, anticipated, or were told, that the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the world, BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come – and they know how to use it,” Trump said in a message on Truth Social.
“Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. God Bless You All!”
Lufthansa Group says it is suspending flights to Tehran until further notice, as well as cancelling flights to Amman, Erbil and Beirut.
The airline also said it would refrain from using airspace of the affected countries until further notice.

The Israeli military has said it is still working to intercept drones launched from Iran.
It last reported that it had intercepted 100 drones.
A Hezbollah official said on Friday the group would not unilaterally launch its own attack on Israel in response to Israeli strikes on Iran.
"Hezbollah will not initiate its own attack on Israel in retaliation for Israel’s strikes," the official told Reuters. A public statement from Hezbollah condemned Israel’s strikes and expressed full solidarity with Iran.

The Israeli army says it has struck and damaged Iran's underground uranium enrichment centrifuges during its attacks on Friday.
In a statement, the military said the underground area contains "a multi-storey enrichment hall with centrifuges, electrical rooms and additional supporting infrastructure".
It added that "critical infrastructure enabling the site's continuous operation and the Iranian regime's ongoing efforts to obtain nuclear weapons were targeted".
