Global human rights body Amnesty International said on Thursday that Israel is continuing the genocide in Gaza, more than a month after a ceasefire was announced and all living Israeli captives were released.

"Israeli authorities are still committing genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip, by continuing to deliberately inflict conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction, without signalling any change in their intent," Amnesty International said in a statement.

“The ceasefire risks creating a dangerous illusion that life in Gaza is returning to normal. But while Israeli authorities and forces have reduced the scale of their attacks and allowed limited amounts of humanitarian aid into Gaza, the world must not be fooled. Israel’s genocide is not over,” said Agnès Callamard, secretary general of Amnesty International.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (Unrwa) said that about 32,000 Palestinians in the West Bank were forcibly displaced after Israel launched its military operations in the area.

"In the northern West Bank, Israeli Forces renewed the military order issued against Tulkarm Camp as part of operation ‘Iron Wall’ until 31 January 2026," Unrwa said.

"Some 32,000 Palestinian refugees remain forcibly displaced by the operation, ongoing since January 2025," it added.

Israeli forces have continued to target the Jenin, Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps in the West Bank.

Between 7 October 2023 and 3 November 2025, 1,012 Palestinians, including 215 children, were killed in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, according to the UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (Ocha).

In early November, Ocha had said that around 75,000 displaced people are sheltering in more than 100 agency buildings in Gaza, most of which are damaged and overcrowded.

Israel is reportedly set to bring more than 5,800 Jewish community members from India to Israel for settlement in the Galilee region of the northern part of the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Jewish Agency for Israel, an organisation that promotes Zionism globally, has said that the Israeli cabinet has approved the proposal.

The Israeli army said it will deploy a new artificial intelligence technology system called Morpheus to monitor the social media accounts of its soldiers and verify everything they post, including texts, pictures, and videos.

The Israeli army radio reported on Wednesday that Hamas had established a huge intelligence network before 7 October 2023, through which it obtained information about the army and its movements from soldiers’ accounts on social media platforms.

The radio station added that the new step aims to "reduce this phenomenon", adding that if necessary, the system will be able to identify cases for review by information security officials.

The report said that during a four-month trial phase of the system, accounts of 45,000 soldiers were monitored, and thousands of cases were recorded that required deletion of posts deemed sensitive.
