Hundreds of thousands march worldwide against Israel’s genocide in Gaza
Hundreds of thousands of people joined coordinated pro-Palestine marches worldwide on Saturday to condemn Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza and stand with Palestinians living under Israeli apartheid in the occupied West Bank.
The Global Alliance for Palestine said the mobilisation involved at least 325 events worldwide, including 176 in Europe alone.
Organisers estimated that around 250,000 people joined the London march. Demonstrators carried signs demanding the “end” of Israel’s genocide and declaring “Free Palestine” as they marched towards the British parliament.
Marchers observed a two-minute silence for the more than 74,370 Palestinians Israel has killed in Gaza since October 2023. Its attacks have wounded at least 175,371 others.
Protesters demanded that the UK government stop supplying weapons Israel uses to bomb Palestinians.

“We are here today to mark three years of the ongoing genocide in Gaza,” Aimee Shalan, director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, told AFP.
Despite signing a ceasefire on 10 October 2025, Israel has continued killing Palestinians almost daily. Its attacks have killed more than 1,400 people since then, including at least 327 children.
In Ireland, thousands joined the country’s 21st national demonstration against Israel’s genocide since October 2023. The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) organised the march.
Speaking at the demonstration, IPSC chair Zoe Lawlor called the Gaza ceasefire "an absolute fiction" and condemned Israel’s continuing restrictions on aid, fuel and food, in comments carried by Ireland’s public broadcaster RTE.
Lawlor said the Irish government was "abdicating its reasonability" towards Palestinians by "stalling and backtracking on promises to take action".
In Berlin, thousands demonstrated opposite the Federal Chancellery.
Protesters waved Palestinian flags and held placards reading "Stop the occupation terror." They chanted "Free Palestine, free Palestine" and "Fuck you Israel."
The marches followed a joint statement on Friday from more than 100 humanitarian, human rights and civil society organisations, which said the Gaza ceasefire “exists in name only with Israeli forces continuing to kill and injure Palestinians daily, and restrictions on aid, equipment and rebuilding materials preventing families from recovering.”
“It is utterly shameful that a full year after the ceasefire was signed, so little has improved for Palestinians in Gaza,” Jan Egeland, secretary-general of the Norwegian Refugee Council, said in the joint statement.
“A ceasefire is meaningless if children are still being killed and families are still unable to rebuild their lives,” said Inger Ashing, chief executive of Save the Children.
“Nearly one child has been killed every day,” Ashing added.
